Based on the research of the Amsterdam Centre for Business Innovation into the 1000 best service providers in the Netherlands, Koopman is ranked 3rd in the category 'Most customer-oriented company in the Netherlands in the Goods Transport sector' in the publication of the Management Team 1000 2021.


At Koopman it is all about customers. Customers are seen as partners. From that relationship, a proactive effort is made to offer added value with reliable services and solutions. How does a company end up on the 3rd place as most customer-oriented company of the Netherlands in the category Goods Transport? Short and simple; as Koopman we have this in our genes and it is part of our vision: clients first. Future-proof relationships are built by giving and taking. This is also true for customers. "Be reliable in everything" is then no longer an empty slogan, but will be visible in practice,' says Harm Koopman, Director Cargo Logistics at Koopman.

'Of course we also use tools for this. Examples are to set up a LEAN project or a savings programme together with the customer. The outcome is often that both parties benefit operationally and financially, and it is also a means of sustainable enterprise by, for example, working together on CO2 reduction.


Koopman General Cargo provides customers in the Benelux with an excellent customised package for the transport of a single package to several full loads per day. With its own fleet of vehicles and a good position in the TransMission network, it always brings a suitable solution. After mapping out the total process with the customer, we come up with a suitable and cost-effective logistics solution. In practice, this may mean that some of the goods are delivered directly, are transported dedicatedly or are transported via our own network. This always guarantees an optimal process.

And we haven't mentioned the most important thing yet; we do it together with loyal and passionate people who are appreciated by our customers and who we ourselves consider to be the most important part of the success of a Koopman.
