Mercedes-Benz Cars Belgium and Koopman have been working together closely for many years now. This year, Koopman received the Supplier Award for the best supplier of Mercedes-Benz Benelux. Koopman won this prize due to their excellent performance, proactive style of cooperation and the fact that they continuously optimise processes.

Tailer-made solutions

Koopman is responsible for the remarketing services for Mercedes-Benz Cars Benelux, for example. In other words, the intake of the vehicles, inspection, damage repair, preparation for the showroom and even photography of the used cars. This is a very efficient process. Koopman has provided us with a tool that gives us good insight into the process, the status of the vehicle and the KPIs. What Steve Vanslype, Head of Direct Sales & Used cars likes so much about Koopman is that Koopman reacts proactively to specific customer requirements and provides tailor-made solutions.

"Our organisation underwent a reorganisation a few years ago, in order to split the wholesale and retail activities. We then also decided that the entire remarketing process required a fresh approach", says Steve. "All steps in the process were mapped out in order to derive the most optimum working processes. This has enabled us to considerably shorten the turnaround times. These processes are now still in place and are closely followed using monitoring tools. The Dutch Mercedes-Benz Cars organisation has recently also entered into a cooperation with Koopman. Together with Koopman, we're now looking at the most optimum process for Mercedes-Benz Belgium and the Netherlands, in order that all parties can work together as efficiently as possible.

Proactive and cooperative partner

Steve is extremely satisfied with the cooperation: "Koopman thinks along with us and continuously improves the processes. Recently, the idea was formed to combine the process for vehicles and documents. For the past few months, Koopman has also assumed responsibility for the complete document flow for Belgium. This freed up time within our organisation, allowing us to concentrate on our core activities".
